TitleProgrammes for Royal Society conversaziones: volume 5
Date1921-1926
DescriptionDescriptions of the contents of Royal Society exhibitions (termed conversaziones, or soirees) during the Twenties. The events were held in May and June of each year, but the second of the annual conversazione was briefly moved to July in 1925. The catalogues contain brief numbered descriptions of displays and their exhibitors, arranged room-by-room, in Burlington House, London. The programmes have a distinctive title-page with standard information on the event, venue and date, with the name of the then-Royal Society President and an engraved image of the Royal Society's coat of arms. Conversaziones were held on consecutive evenings on 22 and 23 July 1925. The soiree for May 1926 was cancelled because of the General Strike.
