The Mace of the Royal Society presented by King Charles II in 1663.
The Charter-book of the Royal Society…together with facsimile reproductions
The first volumes of Council Minutes, Journal Book, and Register Book of the Royal Society.
Various early lists of Fellows of the Royal Society.
An iron chest presented by Mr. William Ball, the first Treasurer of the Royal Society in 1663.

Room 2:

A selection of manuscripts and manuscript letters from the Society's collection.

Room 3 (Principal Library):

First Table -
Volume of diplomas of Michael Faraday, collected and arranged by himself.
Memorials of Joseph Priestley, collected and arranged by James Yates F.R.S.
Two volumes of papers and letters relating to John Canton F.R.S., collected and arranged by James Yates F.R.S.

Centre Table -
Original reflecting telescope made by Newton in 1671.
The MS. Of the Principia and other memorials.
Newtoniana - a collection of engravings of Newton and his contemporaries, accompanied by short biographies, and in some cases, autograph letters.

Third Table -
An early air pump made by Hauksbee in 1715.
Priestley's electrical machine.
Chronometers used by Captain Cook.
An early radiometer presented to the Society by Sir William Crookes.
The original model for Davy's safety lamp.
Brass compass used by Sir Christopher Wren, presented to the Society by Sir John Wolfe-Barry.

Recesses in Library -
Original manuscripts and MS letters of early Fellows of the Royal Society: Boyle, Flamsteed, Halley, Hooke, Leeuwenhoek, Leibnitz and Newton.
