The catalogue commences with various notes on refreshments, displays of plants and a film to be shown at 10.15 and at 10.45: with an acknowledgement that 'By the courtesy of the President and Council of the Geological Society, their rooms have been opened for this occasion'.

Room1 (Reception Room): Central planning of the I.G.Y.

The Mace of the Royal Society presented by King Charles II in 1663.
The Charter Book of the Royal Society which contains the signatures of the Royal Patrons and of the Fellows of the Society.

Room 2: The Sun and its influence.
Room 3: Irregularities and movements in the ionosphere.
Rooms 4 and 5: Meteorology. Glaciology. Seismology.Oceanography. Antarctica.
Room 6: Rockets and satellites.

Meeting Room:
The following film will be shown at 10.15 and 10.45 p.m.: -

Halley Bay. Colour film taken by members of the Royal Society Antarctic Expedition. Commentary by Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander David Dalgliesh. Thanks to Dr. Ralph Vaughan Williams, O.U.P. and to Decca Records for the use of Sinfonia Antarctica played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Adrian Boult.
