Description | Plate 4, figures 1-5 and plate 5, figures 5-6. These seven original figures were divided between two plates on publication, removing two vews of the ovary of a woman of 70 years of age (figures 6-7, not numbered). The others (figures 1-5, numbered) show the ovary and corpus luteum five days and six weeks after impregnation. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left 'Franz Bauer.' Royal Society stamp verso.
