Title | Referee's report by William Turner Thiselton-Dyer, on a paper 'Protoplasmic movements and their relation to oxygen pressure' by James Clark |
Date | 27 June 1889 |
Description | Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Refers to work of Wilhelm Pfeffer and Wilhelm Friedrich Kühne. The paper reads like a student's exercise, and might be better placed in one of 'the numerous scientific journals'. The author has dissected out the protoplasmic contents, which is 'the cleverest thing he has done'. Can only recommend publishing an abstract.
