TitleReferee's report by John Wesley Judd, on a paper 'The fass-monzoni district - or simultaneous duplex crust-movement in the dolomites' by Ogilvie Gordon
Date21 November 1902
DescriptionSectional Committee: Geology

Not recommended for publication. Although the paper is the result of patient labour and skill, it doesn't mark such a distinct step in the advancement of natural knowledge as to justify publication in Philosophical Transactions. Very many details have been published already by the author and other geologists, and the elaborate maps and sections deemed necessary by the author appear to be altogether out of proportion to the actual addition to knowledge, even if the correctness of the author's interpretation of the geology is admitted.
