Title | Letter from George James Burch, on a paper 'The properties and theory of the capillary electrometer, with reference to Professor Hermann's observations on the same subject' by Henry Sessions Souttar to Joseph Larmor |
Date | 13 April 1902 |
Description | Sectional Committee: not stated
He had just looked over the paper when Larmor's letter arrived. He agrees with Larmor. He did not know the author had been dealing with the matter, but would have expected better work from him. The impression is that the author has latterly misapprehended the point at issue between Hermann and Burch, and that what he has written is besides the point. However, he will refer to Hermann's paper. He will be in town on the 24th April and will bring the papers with him, unless Larmor wants them sooner. As the author is so evidently enthusiastic about the electrometer, he does not want to hurry over his paper.
