Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full and that no modifications appear either necessary or desirable. All the illustrations except figure eleven should be reproduced. The method employed is novel and the results appear important. Figure ten might be dispensed with, but it gives an indication of the probable errors of the method and as it can be very easily reproduced, it should be. The other illustrations greatly facilitate the reader and can very easily be reproduced on a smaller scale.
