|Title||Referee's report by Sydney Howard Vines, on a paper 'Further observations on the germination of the seeds of the castor oil plant (ricinus communis)' by Joseph Reynolds Green and Henry Bradwardine Jackson|
|Date||30 May 1905|
|Description||Sectional Committee: Botany|
Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. Vines has suggested some slight modifications in pencil [on the original paper] which would tend to make the paper clearer. It seems to him necessary that the production of sugar from a part of the oil should more definitely be stated in a high paragraph inserted on page 15. Unless he is mistaken the point seems to be left rather vague. There are no illustrations. No general remarks given.
