|Referee's report by William Bateson, on two papers [attributed] 'On some features in the hereditary transmission of the self-black and the “Irish” coat characters in rats.—Paper I' and 'On some features in the hereditary transmission of the albino character and the black piebald coat in rats.—Paper II' by George Percival Mudge

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Paper is mostly confirmatory of other research. Refers to work of Leonard Doncaster and Robert Heath Lock. The paper may require some revisions, but sees no reason to delay publication. Asks that the report be forwarded to the author, along with the name of the referee, as he wishes to correspond with the author directly.
