TitleReferee's report by Archibald Vivian Hill, on a paper 'On the theory of visco-elasticity: a thermodynamical treatment of visco-elasticity, and some problems of the vibrations of visco-elastic solids' by J H C Thompson
Date30 September 1932
DescriptionSectional committee: Mathematics

Not recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in its present form. It is 'too much like a fellowship thesis' and it should be shortened. He isn't competent enough to judge the mathematics in the paper though he imagine it is sound as 'Prof[essor]Milne has seen it'. It needs to be extensively reduced in length.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1933].
