TitleReferee's report by C E Ingles [?], on a paper 'Some cases of the steady two-dimensional percolation of water through ground' by B Davison and Louis Rosenhead
Date29 December 1939
DescriptionSectional Committee: Mathematics

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Is not familiar with the subject of hydrodynamics covered by the paper. The paper is entirely symbolical, with no numeric values assigned to the symbols used. Suggests referring the paper to the Mathematics Section. As it stands, 'without any arithmetical illustrations of the theoretical conclusions reached, the paper would not be of the slightest interest or value to practising [sic] water-engineers'.
