TitleLetter from Reginald Ruggles Gates, on a paper 'Structural analysis of Oenothera complexes' by David Guthrie Catcheside to J D Griffiths Davies, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society
Date18 April 1940
DescriptionSectional committee: [Botany]

The author's claim that the term 'chromosome catenatiom' is misleading is incorrect, as it has been used widely for a number of years. There is no other term in use, except 'chromosome configuration', which is misleading. Only the technical term should be used.
