|Title||Memoranda, on a paper 'Short period phosphorescence and electron traps' by G F J Garlick and Maurice Hugh Frederick Wilkins|
|Date||15 August 1942|
|Description||Sectional Committee: Physics|
Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Communicated by Nevill Francis Mott. Ralph Howard Fowler has sent the papers to John Turton Randall for review, shall the papers be passed if the report is favourable? James Chadwick agrees, if John Turton Randall is a Fellow, ad not directly connected with the work. Does not think a paper should be passed without a report from a Fellow. There are times when the opinion of a non-Fellow is sought, but this should not be the only opinion given on a paper. Suggests Edmund Clifton Stoner be asked to report if John Turton Randall is not a Fellow.
