TitleReferee's report by John Burdon Sanderson Haldane, on a paper 'The ecological determinants of population growth in a Drosophila culture. I. Fecundity of adult flies' by Forbes W Robertson and James H Sang
Date[1943]
DescriptionSectional Committee: Zoology

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Finds many of the figures redundant. Refers to eulogy of Raymond Pearl. Suggests stating the species of Drosophila used, and revising the statistical methods used throughout. The standard errors have been out of date since 1910. Comments on the authors' use of commas and semicolons.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies no.
