DescriptionNot recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The vast majority of the first 26 pages are copied verbatim from a paper read by the authors before the Pathological Society of London and printed in their Transactions for 1887 and 1888. The experiments described all gave negative results. Part may be published in the Proceedings if assurance is given by the authors that it has not appeared in print elsewhere.
