LevelItem
TitleReferee's report by William Ramsay, on a paper 'The ionisation of dilute solution at the freezing point' by William Cecil Dampier Whetham
DateFebruary 1900
DescriptionSectional committee: Physics and chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The diagrams should be lettered and the letters explained in the text. The curve on sheet four, wrongly termed a 'diagram', folio 53, does not correspond in description with the marks or dots inside the squares on the curve-paper. Queries points with reference to particular pages (stated as 'folios') of the original manuscript. In particular with regard to page 62, he believes Ostwald has made some measurements on bichrome and chromic acid and thinks these were published in 'Abhandlungen der sächsischen Akademie'. Has no doubt that the author could obtain a copy of this from the author.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1900].
