TitleReferee's report by William Thomas Blanford, on two papers 'On the ossiferous cave-deposits of Cyprus' and 'Further note on the remains of Elephas cypriotes from a cave-deposit in Cyprus' by Dorothea Minola Alice Bate
Date11 June 1904
DescriptionSectional Committee: Geology

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, but only the second paper. An abstract only of the first paper might appear. The three plates and text figures of the bones and teeth are necessary. They might be reduced or some of the figures on the plates might be omitted and replaced by the text-figures, but full illustration of the teeth is important. The photographs are not necessary but their addition as half tone blocks, affording an idea of the localities, would add to the interest of the paper, and three and five might be suggested. The first paper contains for the most part, unimportant details of no scientific value, and is not, he thinks, worthy of being printed in the Transactions. Everything of scientific interest has been included in the abstract. The abstract might be added to the second paper as an introduction.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions B, 1905].
