Title | Referee's report by William Huggins, on a paper 'First photographs of the canals of Mars' by Percival Lowell |
Date | October 1905 |
Description | Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry
Is in favour of the paper being published in Proceedings if the small photographic prints of mars can be satisfactorily reproduced. Possibly the details on these prints might be brought out in the reproduction if they were enlarged to twice the size of the originals. One might be reproduced as an experiment. Suggests how the plates may be reduced from five to two. Without the plates the test would not be more than a repetition of what has already been published.
