TitleReferee's report by William Thomas Blanford, on a paper 'On the evolution of the Proboscidea' by Charles William Andrews
Date20 April 1903
DescriptionSectional Committee: Zoology

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. As far as he can judge no modifications are necessary and all that is desirable is a certain amount of editorial revision. Discusses a possible error on page two of the typescript of the paper regarding distribution. All the illustrations may be reproduced by photography and reproduced as text figures. Is should be stated that the figures of Palaeomastodon and Moeritherium are restorations as are those of Tetrabelodon, or so he is led to think from the text. The paper might well be published in the Proceeedings with the figures much reduced, but it appears to him well suited for the Transactions.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions B, 1904].

Endorsed on verso as received 20 April 1903.
