TitleReferee's report by Wyndham Rowland Dunstan, on a paper 'Contributions to our knowledge of the poison plants of Western Australia' by E A Mann and W H Ince
Date6 April 1906
DescriptionSectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Suggests an abstract in the Proceedings would suffice. The discussion of the examinations would be more suited to publication by the Chemical Society. The authors seem to have no prior experience working with plants and explain their processes at great length. Authors seem unaware of basic plant physiology, eg solubility of chlorophyll. 'The chemistry of this paper is...of a very primitive and preliminary character'.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society] Submitted to Philosophical Transactions A [Physics and Chemistry], published in Proceedings B.

Endorsed on verso as received 8 April 1906.
