TitleLetter from Charles Vernon Boys, to Arthur Schuster, regarding a paper 'A standard measuring machine' by P E Shaw
Date23 July 1912
DescriptionSectional Committee: Not stated [Physics and Chemistry]

Returns to minutes relating to the paper by P E Shaw. Has felt that the invention of new apparatus was suitable for publication in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. The current paper is not comparable to Charles-Nicolas Peaucellier's cell. Doubts if there is enough 'vitality' for inclusion in the Transactions, but as the other referees are not necessarily of the same opinion, is happy to aquiesce. Does not agree with Henry Reginald Arnulph Mallock as regards the results.
