TitleSupplementary report from Henry Hallett Dale, on two papers 'The actions of eserine-like compounds upon frog’s nerve-muscle preparations, and the blocking of neuromuscular conduction' and 'The actions of eserine-like compounds upon frog’s nerve-muscle preparations, and conditions in which a single shock can evoke an augmented muscular response' by S L Cowan
Date1940
DescriptionSectional committee: Unknown

Recommended for publication in Proceedings, The experiments have been well-designed and have given results of substantial interest and importance. The author attaches the careful descriptions of his results with long sections of discussion which are too long and detailed. The first paper appears better than the second and should be shortened. The general discussion part of paper two is unacceptable and should be replaced with no more than three pages of discussion.

[Both papers published in Proceedings B, 1940].
