TitleLetter from Alan Herries Wilson, on four papers by William Keith Burton, Nicolás Cabrera and Frederick Charles Frank to D C Martin, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society
Date22 May 1950
DescriptionPaper reference code: A52-A55

Wilson writes: 'I am sorry I am unable to report upon the 4 papers A52-A55 as I am just about to go abroad and will not be returning until the end of June. I have, however, glanced at the papers cursorily, and my general impression is that the exposition, as distinct from the results, is not as good as it might be, and that, as has been suggested, a single paper in the Transactions might be more appropriate.' The four papers would eventually be refereed by Rudolf Peiers [see RR/73/74-77] and published in Philosophical Transactions A as 'The growth of crystals and the equilibrium structure of their surfaces'.

Written at Tudor Lodge, Gibbet Hill, Kenilworth, Warwickshire [England].

Endorsed on recto as received 23 May 1950.
