TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Ewen A Whitaker, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona, Tuscon, Arizona
Date3 December 1963
DescriptionRequesting a good copy image of a meandering river. Bruce Hapke has told Gold that Whitaker has pictures of possible flow in craters, which Gold would like. Believes that the optical law of the lunar surface can be accounted for by mutually adhering small particles. The dark appearance is due to solar wind exposure, but Gold thinks that internal processes of transportation should be examined.
