TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Arnulf Schluter, Max-Planck Institut fuer Plasmaphysik, Garching/Munchen, Germany
Date30 April 1974
DescriptionThey had talked in Munchen abou the possibility of Schluter visiting Cornell again one day. Asks how he feels about this now, and should they make arangements leading to an invitation to visit for a year.

Gold knows that the plasma physicists would be dielighted if he could come. They in astronomy would of course consider it a great honour if they could be instrumental in bringing Schluter close to Astrophysics once more. If he indicated that there is a possibility he would consider such an invitation, they would ask the university authorities whether an offer at the apprpriate level can be put together.

Gold will be in Europe again in May and June - Frascati May 19-29, and Bonn May 30-31. Asks if there is any chance of seeing Schluter then.
