TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Floyd Roberson, Code SM, NASA Headquarters, Washington DC
Date28 July 1975
DescriptionThanks him for informing Gold of the rejection of his proposal. He would like tit to be reconsidered whenever possible.

States this was not a later submission; rather it was a re-submission of a proposal, somethwat improved by the inclusion of new work. This waas rejected then, and the rejection of this caused Gold more surprise than any other. Gold mentioned this to him at their meeting on 15 April, and Roberson thought then the rejection waas due to a supposed inexperience with photogeologic interpretation. If so. Gold recommends his 1955 article, copy enclosed, to go to any referee or program director. It contains the main prescriptions for lunar photogeology that have been used ever since, and reprinted often.
