Concerning the advantages of the co-operation betweeen Sydney University and Cornell that was formalized as the Cornell-Sydney university Astronomy Center, and the recent changes taking place at Cornell which have greatly altered the basis of such co-operation. In view of the change of circumstances he feels he can no longer recommend to Sydney University to maintain the special rules and regulations that were adopted for the operation of the Center, and proposes that the formal arrangement be terminated.
