TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Sir Fred Hoyle, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California
Date8 April 1975
DescriptionGold has Hoyle's letter from Rice, with a copy of his to the Times. Gold sent to Hoyle, just before receiving this, a copy of Gold's letter to Ms Burnell. It is unfortunate that quite coincidentally, it contained also a reference to Becqerel, and thus looks like collusion between us. Asks him to send Gold a copy of Hoyle's to her, if indeed he sent one.

Thought the Time Magazine story was fine, except for the insane remarks by Jesse.

Will ask NASA to enquire from Hoyle about the Moon and Gold's researches. it will help if Hoyle can just shake them up and scare them, with no more than a couple of lines, perhaps similar to what Hoyle said to Fletcher.
