Pacini could say Gold believes all star formation occurs only in the central sheets, and all shpes of galaxies - ellipticals, even globular clusters - are the subsequent sonsequences of dynamical evolution, involving multi-body interactions, tidal interactions, external wind sweeping action and collisions.
