TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr W Menard, Director, United States Geological Survey, Resoon, Virginia
Date11 May 1978
DescriptionGold thanks Menard and the gooup he collected for the discussions they had. He realizes that their views are in direct conflict with the general geological wisdom, but then there is a lot that is not readily accommodated in the usual picture, and therefore it is necessary to look further afield.

Gold is enclosing his long paper, which is not yet published and has still to be modified a littel, and would of course be glad to hear Menard's comments. Gold also wonders whether he ould advise another meeting, this time with teh earthquake team. They have by now collected a lot more of the earthquake evidence than is in that paper.
