TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Hanbury Brown, FRS, School of Physics, University of Sydney
Date23 July 1965
DescriptionWill try and find out about the photo-multiplier tubes. Is glad that Professor Brown's instrument is working well. Suggests that they should begin to think about 'using the dishes also as receivers for laser radar'. Says that maybe they 'should organise a joint experiment with Lincoln Lab[oratory], who make big lasers, and attempt to get detailed information of the moon's surface'.
