TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr John T Wilson, Deputy Director, National Science Foundation, Washington, DC
Date29 April 1967
DescriptionSays that he will be unable to attend the Symposium on the 'Origin and distribution of the elements' in Paris, 8-11 May 1967, due to the work involved in investigating the landing of Surveyor III. Therefore he does not need the National Science Foundation's assistance in funding the travel expenses for that trip. However, he does plan to attend the 13th General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union in Prague, 22-31 August 1967. Asks if the Foundation can provide funds to meet the travel expenses for that trip instead.
