TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr S Peale, Department of Astronomy, University of California at Los Angeles
Date14 May 1968
DescriptionSays that he is glad to learn from Peter that Dr Peale is 'as good as new--perhaps even better'. Suggests that Peter may have told Dr Peale about the 'lunar horizon problem'. If Peter has not, Gold says that Dr Peale should have Peter explain it to him. Says that he is trying to understand the problem, which will entail theoretical work and tests at JPL [Jet Propulsion Laboratory]. Asks if Dr Peale would like to 'join forces' with him.
