TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Alan Davenport, Faculty of Engineeering Sciences, University of WEstern Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada
Date14 December 1970
DescriptionThey are very glad of the work Davenport has done on their behalf for the Arecibo Observatory. The results are very much to their satisfaction and will enable them to reduce the structural requirements to more reasonable proportions. Gold understands that Davenport has made a very large model of the site, and Gold wonders what he would have in mind for its future, They would be delighted if they could have it and would gladly pay for its crating and transportation. What they would do is to complete the modelling of the rest of the structure and use it as a popular exhibit, which is needed quite often
