TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor W N Christiansen, School of Electrical Engineering, University of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Date3 June 1971
Description' 'With the cultural rapprochement with China there is some thought whether we should invite a Chinese radio astronomer to visit here and Arecibo. It appears that a formal invitation might work. Would you like to give me a short list of senior persons in radio astronomy in China who you think would like to undertake such a trip with mutual benefits? I shall be grateful for this advice or any other you have to offer on this subject. I hope to see you in Sydney again before too long. i have not been there for quite a while now, and it is about time I returned. '
