TitleThomas Gold correspondence, 1979-1991
DateNov 1979-Dec 1991
DescriptionThe files contain faxes and letters to Thomas Gold from numerous individuals and organisations, Nov 1979, May 1980, 1987, Jun 1990- Dec 1991. One of the files (2 of 4) includes a black and white photograph of Kirill Anikiev under a portrait of N A Kudryavtsev at the Kudryavtsev Memorial Conference with a letter dated 6 November 1979. The letter was from K A Anikiev to Dr A A Meyerhoff and appears to have been sent with a 'letter-fax' dated 25 June 1991. The following dedication has been written on the back of the photograph, 'To Dr Thomas Gold with best wishes, Kirill Anikiev'. One of the files (3 of 4) contains a letter from Thomas Gold, dated 13 August 1991, recommending Sir Fred Hoyle for the Wolf Prize. The faxes and letters in these files were stored in a document wallet labelled 'Letters Received 2-5-91 to 12-31-91'. As the letters and faxes have been hole punched they were probably originally held in a lever arch file. The letters and faxes are not indexed or numbered.
