DescriptionThe files contain faxes and copies of letters from Thomas Gold to numerous individuals and organisations, May-Sep 1994, on various matters such as: commenting on an article, ‘The ozone hole: is it really there?’, that appeared in the August edition of the Consumers Union’s 'Consumer Reports' (203); his views on surface magnetic prospecting for oil (199); a campaign to stop the space station (194, 196); the relationship between earthquakes and the emission of gases (193). The files also contain faxes and letters to Thomas Gold from various individuals and organisations, May-Sep 1994. They also include an article announcing the discovery of non biological natural gas in the Songliao Basin, Northern China (202) and a copy of Statoil Magazine, No 2, Vol 16, May 1994. The letters and faxes have been numbered by Gold or a secretary from 181 to 194 and from 196 to 210 (there is no 195 and it is not clear if there ever was one). They are not indexed and were originally stored in a hanging file.
