The letters and faxes cover various matters e.g. possible discovery of microbial life on Mars; rejection, by Nature, of a paper written by Thomas Gold and Hermann Bondi (432); his trying to arrange for a lab in China to analyse deep gas samples from wells in Oklahoma (425). The letters and faxes have been numbered by Gold or a secretary from 421 to 450. They are not indexed and were originally stored in a hanging file.
