The files also contain faxes and copies of letters from Thomas Gold to various individuals and organisations, Nov-Dec 1997. The letters, faxes and e-mails cover various matters e.g. his writing a short article entitled, ‘The tidal pulse observation at Segundo-1 well’ (628); his commenting on an article about the efficiency of wind erosion on Mars, which had appeared in Science (624); commenting on an article in Nature, 11 Dec 1997, on Einstein’s theory of special relativity, which concluded that the theory did not allow any other finite speed of propagation in a vacuum, other than c to exist (622); his setting up a website on which up to date information about outgassing processes of the earth could be discussed (617); his falling ill on flights from JFK to London Heathrow and from London Heathrow to JFK (606). The letters, faxes, e-mails and articles have been numbered by Gold or a secretary from 601 to 630. They are not indexed and were originally stored in a hanging file.
