The file includes copies of letters from Thomas Gold to D R Corson, Provost, Cornell University, F A Long, Vice President for Research, Cornell University, and William E Gordon, Arecibo Ionospheric Observatory, expressing his concern about the way the observatory was being run. The file also includes a memorandum from F A Long on the 'Organization and procedures for Cornell's program in radio astronomy and radio physics', dated 28 January 1964, a paper entitled 'Proposed organization of the Arecibo project' and a list of Cornell University staff at the observatory, dated 28 January 1964.
