He no longer held his position with William of Orange after his imprisonment in Holland, which had been intended for a ransom exchange reportedly. Although barely active in the Royal Society's activities, Oudart was acquaintances with Samuel Pepys (FRS 1665) and John Evelyn (FRS 1663). |
