OtherInfoBruce had originally intended to study for his medical degree in Padua, however the spread of the plague prevented him from travelling there and he proceeded to study at Valence. Not much is known about Bruce's personal life or his career as a physician. His practice in Edinburgh is said to have enjoyed a good reputation up until the 1690s.
